The American Wildlife Conservation Partners (AWCP) work together on issues affecting the conservation of wildlife and their habitats as well as the preservation of hunting and trapping traditions.
The
AWCP does not speak on behalf of partners - it is a loose affiliation of
organizations with partners retaining their autonomy and respecting each
other's differences. Partners can opt in on policy initiatives where they
have a common interest, however they may also choose not to participate
on a particular issue.
The five core areas that the AWCP focuses on are: habitat conservation, sustaining wildlife populations, perpetuating hunting and trapping, the scientific management of wildlife and habitat, and strengthening the North American Model of wildlife conservation.
