Ensuring Sustainable Wildlife Populations
From
the beginning of the conservation movement, ensuring the scientific management
of wildlife to maintain sustainable populations has been a core philosophy
of the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation. In addition, maintaining
state-based fish and wildlife conservation for common species is also an
important tenet. Members of the American Wildlife Conservation Partners
have worked to ensure that state wildlife management is based on sound
science from professional wildlife biologists.
